I’ve spent 40 years in broadcasting. I started in 1986 as a photojournalist at KERO in Bakersfield, California, worked my way through newsrooms to Washington, D.C., then moved into commercial production as a cinematographer, editor and producer. Along the way I earned 18 Emmy Awards and 3 Telly Awards. For the past five years I’ve been a part-owner of Newsshooter.com, a leading publication covering professional filmmaking gear.
News taught me to verify, question and report straight. I bring the same standard here: every product is researched, tested hands-on and judged on what it actually does. If it’s worth buying, I’ll tell you why. If it’s not, I’ll tell you that too.
